Barcelona Trains Shops on Scent Communication

Friday, 27 February, 2015

In the context of the 2015 Program to train and support the Shop Owners of the 10 City districts, Barcelona City Council has chosen Dr. Cristina Sala to help Shop owners deal with Scent Communication.

The program includes different trendy retailing subjects, such as Visual Merchandising, Neuromarketing, creative gift wrapping or digital marketing. Scent Communication is one of latest retailing trends in Barcelona.

Promoted by Barcelona Activa, and the traders’ associations, the goal of ‘Obert al Futur’ (‘open to the future’) Program is to provide training in new technologies adapted to the current needs of shop owners in Barcelona.

The Scent Communication workshop includes an interactive discussion with lots of practical examples on how to apply Scent Communication tools and techniques in Barcelona shops. Objective is that shop owners learn how to play scents to improve Purchase Experience, Create a Scent Identity, Raise Client Loyalty and eventually Sell more.

Open-Senses is providing Scent Communication Services and Products to Pioneer Brands, like Barcelona, that are building Emotional Links with Consumers at the Point Of Purchase (POP).
